Conjure Trinkets #107

creative Cantrip similar to parts of my Small Miracles magic from the Virtuous and Sinful Magic from Sanctus Malum

Basically you can make simple illusory items that serve no function but style. e.g. summon a hat or a cane

Kinda like minor illusion admitedly, but it can be manipulated like an object (maybe some other limitations so it doesn't outshine minor Illusion)

aka

higher levels

Conjure Trinket

Illusion cantrip Casting Time: 1 action Range: Self Components: S Duration: 1 hour

You conjure an illusory item to your empty hand. The illusion also ends if the item is ever more than 10 feet away you, you dismiss it as an action or cast this spell again.

The item must be simple, typically composed of three or fewer different materials or connected pieces, and must be able to fit in one hand, such as a hat or badge. You cannot produce an item you have never seen. While the item is on your person, it appears real and you can interact with it physically in a convincing manner, such as having a scarf or medalion dangle from your neck. Any other creatures or objects pass through the item however, revealing it to be an illusion. The item cannot be used for any physical application beyond its appearance.

If a creature uses its action to examine the item, the creature can determine that it is an illusion with a successful Intelligence (Investigation) check against your spell save DC. If a creature discerns the illusion for what it is, the illusion becomes faint to the creature.

By casting the spell multiple times, you can have up to two simultaneous items when you reach 5th level, up to three at 11th level, and up to four at 17th level.

alt If you use the Evolving Cantrips supplement, you gain the following additional benefits when you reach certain levels.

At 5th Level. You can have up to two simultainious items. In addition, if the item would normally obscure your sight or hearing, such as a blindfold or ear plugs, you can choose to have it not do so without affecting its appearance.

At 11th Level. For each item, you can choose a willing creature to be able to physically interact with the item instead of you. The creature is aware the item is illusory.

At 17th Level. Any item you create can be used as a dagger or club. You can choose to use your spellcasting ability in place of Strength or Dexterity for the attack and damage rolls. On a hit, the item deals psychic damage and then immediately vanishes. useful but very underwhelming for 17th level, even for a cantrip
