A confused creature has disadvantage on checks and saving throws using its Intelligence or Wisdom.
If a confused creature moves more than half its movement on its turn, it must immediately spend all its remaining movement moving in a random direction.
A confused creature has disadvantage on attack rolls. If the creature misses an attack by 5 or more, it must instead make the attack against a random different target within range of the attack (this can include itself), making a new attack roll. If this second attack roll also misses, the attack fails.
maybe say it targets itself on a nat 1?
These are the basic spells, I imagine other spells/traits will occur with extra parameters/effects
Confuse Person/Derange/Befuddle
2nd level enchantmentCasting Time: 1 action
Range: 30ft
Components: V, S, M (a medallion or pocket watch on a chain)
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute
You warp a creature's mind, sending confusing and conflicting signals. Choose a creature you can see within range that is not an undead or construct and that can see you. That creature must make a Wisdom saving throw or become confused for the spell's duration. The creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns or when it takes damage that isn't psychic damage, removing the condition on a success.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, you can target one additional creature for each slot level above 2nd. The creature must be within 30 feet of each other when you target them.
maybe remove the repeating saving thro each turn and require damage to repeat
