Taking the form of a mask, helmet or cowl, this headwear can disguise your true nature. While wearing this headwear, you can use a bonus action to change your creature type to <type> until you use another bonus action to change back to your original type. While you are disguising your creature type in this way, you also have advantage on Charisma checks when interacting with other creatures of the same type. The effects end if you are no longer wearing the headwear.
At the DM's discretion, your appearance might also subtly change to fit your new type. For example, as a
aberation, your skin might appear slimy and of a unusual hue.
beast, your skin may become covered in fur, feathers, scales or chitin.
celestial, your eyes or hair might turn white or gold and even faintly glow.
construct, your skin may appear to made of inorganic materials such as stone, clay or metal.
dragon, you might grow draconic scales or your eyes may appear more draconic.
elemental, your skin might gain a stone like texture or your hair becomes a fiery orange.
fey, your ears and facial features may become more angled.
fiend, you might grow small horns or a red hue in your skin.
giant, you appear unusually bulky for a creature of your size category.
