Spell like heat metal that target a metal object making it magnet-like (works with all metals not just iron).

Either makes attacks easier as weapon is attracted to target or makes them harder as they hit armor rather than weak point. Or even allow repelling.

Either way, attacks against targets within 5ft of a magnetised object have disadvanatge

Magnetise Metal

2nd-level transmutation Casting Time: 1 action Range: 60 feet Components: V, S, M (a copper coil wrapped around a metal rod) Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

Choose a manufactured metal object, such as a metal weapon or a suit of heavy or medium metal armor, that you can see within range. You cause the object to take on magnet-like properties, attracting all other metals.

A creature wearing the object attracts metals to it. The creature has advantage on checks and saving throws to hold on to other metal objects. Weapon attacks made against the creature using metal weapons and ammunition have advantage/disadvantage. Attacks made against creatures and objects within 5 feet of the target also have disadvantage if they use metal weapon or ammunition.

A creature making a weapon attack using the object has advantage/disadvantage on the attack roll if the target is composed mostly of metal, or is wearing medium or heavy armor made of metal.

Magnetise Metal Alt

2nd-level transmutation Casting Time: 1 action Range: 60 feet Components: V, S, M (a copper coil wrapped around a metal rod) Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

Choose a manufactured metal object, such as a metal weapon or a suit of heavy or medium metal armor, that you can see within range. You cause the object to take on magnet-like properties, attracting or repelling all other metals.

Attack rolls made with metal weapons or ammunition against targets within 5 feet of the magnetised object have disadvantage, as the metal is difficult to control within this area. If a creature is wearing the magnetised object, they have advantage on checks and saving throws made to hold onto other metal objects or to maintain a grapple on a creature wearing metal.
