Stolen from unfinished geometrist class (I might just make that a wizard subclass with them getting bonuses to spells like this)


Shape Weapon

3rd-level transmutation Casting Time: 1 action Range: 30ft Components: V, S Duration: Concentration, up to 1 hour

You choose a nonmagical weapon that you can see in range and alter its geometry. You might make an edge sharper or duller, make a blade longer or shorter, alter the weight balance or another similar effect.

For the spell's duration, the weapon's damage type becomes your choice of bludgeoning, piercing or slashing and attacks with it have a 1d6 bonus or penalty (choose when you cast this spell) to damage rolls (to a minimum of 1 damage). If you choose to grant a bonus to damage, attacks with the weapon count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.

If the weapon is being worn or carried by an unwilling creature when you cast the spell, that creature can make a Charisma saving throw to prevent the effects of this spell.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell at 5th-level or higher, you can add or remove one of the following properties on the weapon for every two levels above 3rd; heavy, finesse, light and reach. This effect lasts for the spell's duration.

Would be nice to be a 2nd level spell to get it sooner but with a d6 its arguably stronger than many of the other weapon spells at lower levels. Also going 3rd/5th/7th/9th for upcasting is neater
