I had a similar issue that i was able to reproduce and i was able to solve. The
loader would crash out with a libpng error so i guessed that it was a bad image
file
used for covers. In my case it was only in the fancy flow modes with
reflections so
one of the cover types that was used for that. To fix this i deleted the covers
from
the folder on the SD card in the usb-loader directory. Restored the defaults
from
the zip file i originally used to install then went back into the loader. SO
this
time i now have no covers. I went to global options. Updated to the latest
version
and updated all options that were there othere than to download the covers
again.
This gave me the latest URLs for the covers. Then i redownloaded all covers and
now
it no longer crashes. I beleive mine was a bad cover file, possibly due to a
bad
download and it hit an exception in the library file to read the image.
Good luck but this fixed it for me.

thanks, but is this an error with cfg-loader or the image? could it be fixed in
a later version?

Added support for corrupt pngs.

Corrupt pngs are renamed to *.bad
