tesseract crash when using makebox parameter and no char recognized

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Input image has no char in it. For example, an empty image.
2. Run: tesseract.exe testimage.tif output makebox
3. If Input image has char and tesseract recognize it, it works fine.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
No crash

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
tesseract 3.0.1

3.02 (neither 3.01 on windows) did not crash for me. But it create wrong box 
file (see attachment)
