Cant install openencodevfw on dxtory #6

Hi guys, got a problem, hope you can help?

I've just tried installing the openencodevfw for dxtory.

I Unpack the archive to C drive, I right clicked on install.bat and Ran as Administrator. Everything went smoothly until I looked for the codec in Dxtory. Problem is it's not there? I've rebooted my PC and still it's not showing... Any thoughts?

Is the openencodevfw.dll in system32 or syswow64? Could be that setupapi doesn't find files. You should be able to manually install by creating registry entries like from line 39 to 44 and copying the DLLs to system32 or syswow64 (32bit dll goes there on 64bit system) based on your OS bitness.

Gave that a try.. Sadly still doesn't work for me in Dxtory. The codec appears in VirtualDub though.

I have currently Dxtory 2.0.126. Uninstalled/installed the codec and it appears in the dxtory list. Hmm, some vfw weirdness maybe.

Ehm, you did restart dxtory after install? :P

Yeah buddy.. I did a restart :( I too also have Dxtory 2.0.126

Could try Process monitor to see what Dxtory fails to read/access.
