I've just added some small changes to CONTRIBUTING.md to add instructions for downloading the Github, forking it, etc

Hi there @nathan-a-macleod, thanks for this change! Please can you do the following things:

Add PATCH to the start of the merge request title
Update the left hand number in backend/__init__.py by one. The version number is in the format MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH
Add a new entry in CHANGELOG.md for the new version
Fix the table of contents in the file you edited - at the moment it's not quite correct. You may be able to use ChatGPT for this
