Long delay after subscription before hub will successfully see new content #144

I am testing some microblogging software which uses PuSH to send updates of new 
content. I'm using PuSHbot and a statusnet install to subscribe to my feed 
(http://test.waterpigs.co.uk/activity.atom) via the appspot hosted hub, and 
usually it works fine, but recently I'm having strange problems.

When I unsubscribe from, then resubscribe to my feed on both PuSHbot and 
statusnet, there is a long (>1 hour) delay before any new content will 
successfully be fetched and subscribers pinged.

The diagnostics page shows that the last successful fetch was at the time it 
should have occurred, but the feed envelope has an incorrect <updated> value. I 
have fetched the feed myself through cURL and feedvalidator.com, both of which 
show the correct, up-to-date feed.

I am setting a cache time of 0, and all caches on the app side get refreshed 
when new content is posted, so caching *shouldn't* be the problem.

I am stuck. Please help me!

Dang Barnaby I just found this message from neary 2 years back :/ We've been 
using Github for issues for a long time :)
