I don't really see any upside tbh.
People don't bait saferoom that much, they bait hits elsewhere much more. I think the reduced spawn timers help with this.
That's true, maybe something that could be used in the retro configs, or some other side config
I had someone ask me why this isn't in the game saying that allowing people to hide in saferoom until a boom wheres off is unfair.
Shouldn't be booming them right away before they are out, if you want to avoid that.

I think its an ok idea but it may cause issues on maps such as DK4 where you really have to take time to clear commons around the corner. It also might allow an easy way to sac for spitter. It's also slightly unintuitive and not a l4d2 mechanic. On the upside it will make some first hits faster and allow less baiting.
I think it would be an interesting mechanic to play with but I can see that it would definitely need some sort of play testing to see if it adds to the game.
