9 years ago This turned out to be trickier than I had initially expected. In fact it turned out to be massive enough to warrant its own extension. After patching 4 methods, it's still not enough, and there's still work to be done.
Short rundown:
- Done: One spammy function that attempts to holster your gun whilst on a ladder.
- Done: One function that "deploys" your gun(un-holsters it) when you get off the ladder.
- Done: Two functions, one for shotgun weapons reload, the other one for all other types of weapons. Shotgun reloading is bugged on the ladders, but I wanted to block reloading and m2ing on ladders anyway(as well as melees) for balance and credibility. Otherwise four survivors could make short work of any SI waiting for them near the exit.
- In progress: Unknown function/segment, responsible for dropping the player off a ladder as a result of pressing m1 or m2(heavily feature-breaking; you jump off instead of / along with shooting). This happens only if the ladder is short enough to the point where dropping off of it from the current position won't inflict any fall damage to the player, or if the player is on a long ladder, but positioned close enough to the bottom/ground to meet the first condition.

Fix ladder chokes once and for all without having to use workarounds like props and spit immunity.
