This might be intentional, since a particular screen respawns enemies after a set amount of time (so that players are more forced to stay together, and that new players that enter the screen after that time limit can fight monsters. It would also be difficult if a player who has already beaten the boss but decides to stay on the same floor meets up with someone else who hasn't beaten the boss yet - what would the game think of then?
The problem being, other areas don't respawn when you change areas, only the boss area does. The boss is also not like most boss fights, it has enemies scattered through the map along with the boss, it's not like you're entering an arena to fight the last boss, it's like the last wave with a boss added. I think this game has a bit of an issue of trying to cling to some fundamentals of CQ, while being a completely different game.
Odd - for me, the other areas do respawn after a certain amount of time, regardless of whether it was the boss screen or not. That was why I thought it was intended. I'll double-check.
This is intentional, for two reasons: Every player deserve a boss battle, instead of arriving in an empty room with a ladder. Players shouldn't defeat bosses by edge dancing.
I'm not sure if this is an intended feature or not, but after I kill a boss and leave that map (on the same floor) and re-enter, all the enemies in that area and the boss respawn and I have to defeat them again. If it's intended, I would prefer it not be the case, so I could explore the other areas before dropping down (even though there's no real reason to explore right now).
