Whenever you press Spacebar (even when the focus is in the chat window), you will attack (and we all already know about the attacking with Mages) - another thing that I think we all know, but since we want to use the issue tracker - well, consider it tracked.

So this is part of a larger issue surrounding the chat system, and there's a lot of design issues to work out. However, this particular issue has been fixed for the moment.
