Schema.org ClaimReview #7

While this extension appeared to have been developed a while ago, at this point fact checking has gained support in metadata by use of the Schema.org ClaimReview entity, which has also been used in Google snippets. While such metadata facilitates building a multi-source database of fact checks, extensions to help passively find fact checks based on such metadata is unfortunately still missing. (I guess another missing ingredient here would be the actual fact-check database. I'm trying to check with CommonCrawl if they'd be in a position to help on that.)

That's super interesting, I'll take a look into that. That would vastly simplify things.

thanks! while I'm not aware of such existing databases, as a poc i tried to imagine what kind of format such a repo might take:

i also rambled a bit about my thoughts in this direction here: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=33643528
