Please describe the change or addition you'd like to see:
Many FTP clients running on Macs support Bonjour to locate services on the 
local network. I would 
like to see swiftp advertise its service.

Do you have any skills or resources that could be used to help with
development of the requested feature?
Zeroconf multicast dns is documented here:
http://www.multicastdns.org/

and apparently there is a Java implementation available here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/jmdns/
