I did take note of the text fading in & out when I first build openlyrics, but specifically did not include it because I wasn't convinced it was worth the additional complexity. If people want it then fair enough (and maybe it's more helpful than I realise) but at this point there are also a bunch of other sources of complexity around this (namely horizontal scrolling).
