My use case is I like to save synced lyrics to files, but unsynced lyrics to tags. Currently, whenever I want to do one or the other, I'd have to switch save method in Preferences. I would like to be able to just choose whether to save to file or tag with the right-click context menu, or maybe in the lyrics editor.

Why you prefer files ?

I don't think the Android music player I use supports embedded synced lyrics, so keeping them separate on PC makes it much simpler to manually 'synchronise' my audio collection on pc and my smartphone.
