erroneous warning/error if value attribute present on Ordered List <li> element

PROBLEM:

EPUBCheck should not complain because a value attribute is present on Ordered 
List <li> element, but it does. This attribute was marked deprecated in HTML4 
but was un-deprecated in HTML5, which is what EPUB 3 normatively references 
(see note: http at://www.w3.org/TR/html-markup/li.html ). Perhaps a schema 
issue?

I can't provide further details - this was reported in a discussion forum for a 
private beta program, I did not personally experience the problem.
