Beagleboard xm rev B - Android 4 won't boot #147

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. download rowboat android 4.0 package
2. use script correctly on ubunut 10.10
3. put micro sdhc card in beagleboard xm rev B and boot

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect android 4.0 "ice cream sandwich" to boot, but see just a black screen
instead

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Im using beagleboard xm rev B, followed instructions to use ubuntu > 8 (im
using ubuntu 10)

Please provide any additional information below.
At first I thought it had something to do with my mouse (a gaming mouse -
cyborg rat 3) or my keyboard (a gaming keyboard - logitech G19). But, I managed
to get Android 2.2 (rowboat) working successfully. So maybe not!

Before Jan 15 2012, I tried 3 times to build an micro SDHC card following these
instructions:
http://code.google.com/p/rowboat/wiki/ICSonBeagleboard

Each time it failed to boot ICS.

I see you have released an update. I will try a new build now and see if it
will boot.
