In order to use the C++ parallel extensions, Antonio has made a version in C++

I'm curious as to why you've removed the conda-forge g++ and gcc? Those are only there to make sure python lyncs_io work. It was not my intention that they are used for compiling the actual code

I think I removed the conda-forge g++ and gcc because I was having issues compiling the code. After removing them it worked fine

Ah that makes sense. I think commenting out is fine - it has comments on it if people have issues with lyncs.
