how to trigger itemClick Event on List #51

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. item selection is being done by using "doFlexSelect" method
2. unless I do a single mouse click explicitly, related button does not get 
enabled, as it checks for itemClick event on the list.

can someone help me on this ? let me know if u need more info.
