I'm thinking of starting a repository JuliaMatrices/MatrixFactorizations.jl to contain matrix factorizations not included in StdLib/LinearAlgebra.jl. In particular I need a QL factorization.

Google pointed this package out to me. Do you see any issues from me also using MatrixFactorizations.jl?

No, not really, since my MatrixFactorizations.jl is more of a proof-of-concept for using IterativeSolvers.jl as lazy factorizations, which I hope one day I could merge upstream, if they turn out well.
