Skewed Header #19

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Log in as TA Allocation In-Charge
2. Go to Conflicts/TA's/Course Info/Course Updates/TA Applications/Results

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output: Be able to click on the logout icon
Instead, the last visited date runs over the logout icon so that it cannot be
clicked.
Also, the text spills out of the header area. Please see attached screenshot.

I couldn't see any such error. Everything is in its proper place. There could
have been some server issues at your side as some pages takes a little time for
loading.
Could you please log in and check it again.

I checked again. The problem still remains. It doesn't seem to be a
page-loading issue since the issue remains even after the entire page has
loaded.

It is possibly a compatibility issue. When I reduce the browser window size,
and I shift the right edge to towards the right, the last-logged-in date moves
to the right. When the browser size is maximum, the date overlaps with the
logout icon.
When I shift the left edge to the left, the tabs move to the left. When the
browser window is fully maximized, the tabs spill out of the header area.

I still cannot see any such problem. Let me look into it.
Meanwhile could you please log in from a different browser and check if its
still the same?

I tried with Firefox. It shows the same thing.

Okay. You are probably right. It does shift when i reduce my browser's size but
other than that I still cannot find anything.
Let our team work on different machines with different browsers and we'll get
back to you as soon as we resolve this.

@Sampoorna : We tested it on many machines and everything was working perfectly.
Its just happening when you are reducing your browser size. Its not that big of
an issue and we'll be working on it in later release.
For now, you can set your window to default and access our website easily.

If you will read my issue report properly, you will realize that this is
happening when the browser window size has been maximized, ie., default view.

We checked it again in various other browsers/devices (tab) and couldn't find
any such error. The default view was working perfectly.
On zooming in, yes a problem occurs. But we'll work on that in a later version.
