no network, wifi nt working properly, not showing contacts

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.wifi scans network but not connecting
2.netowk search runs but shwoing eroor message
3.uanble to see contacts though in maemo the contacts are still there

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
i m looking for help to set up my wifi for smoth runing, n to get setup og my 
network so can make calls and use gprs n help to setup my internet facility 
thrugh my service provider which is running on maemo bt not android

What is your device, RootFS and kernel versions?
my device is nokia n900, but im nt able to find my rootfs and kernel version as 
i used auto installer facility and although i m a new user of this dnt know 
much abt this but yes i hve installed enhased kenerl from repositieries

Hey I have found the kernel version  its: 2.6.28.NIT.06 jca@rio#1
& the build number is: n900-eng AOSP OPENASTER eng.root.20100713.174627

now i dnt know wht is this cz i m nt a techi guy but yes the issues are coming 
up mentioned below :

I have successfully installed NITDroid, but there are alot of concerns using 
the NITDroid.

1. Wifi is not stable - if connected it will not work. & will get off after 
30-40 seconds 

2. No Netwrok on the phone - if you try to search the network it will show the 
error message and says no network found and try later. 

3. When connect with USB cable its showing the connectivity on the phone but in 
PC its saying drivers not successfully installed. So not able to use it as a 
Mass storage or pc suite. 

4. No contact showing in the phone book where as in Maemo every contact is 
still there. also not able to find where to tap for adding the new contact. 

5. Opening the images -- it shows very less images like out of 70 its showing 
22 only. 

6. Camera - its not clicking the picks. as i opened the shutter but if u click 
it will not show any image except android sign after clicking. 

7. How to find the version of kernel installed after the Auto Installer and the 
version of Rootfs 

These are the issues which comes up so far. but i m unable to find the solution 
please help me in the same. 

If there is any other process i have to follow to install android in my device 
please suggest with the simple process.
