To clarify a bit more:
It appears as though the exported equipment is highly selective; it's always
the same, though, but chest, boots and legs equipment is exported fine, but
shoulder, head, hands for instance are not.
Is there a reason for excluding certain slots from the export?

The FBX format was written by a member of the community, but for some reason,
they didn't include the attached items into the exporter.
Until it is fixed, I would recommend exporting the character as an OBJ or LWO
file, grab the extra equipment, then attaching/assigning them to the bones in
the FBX export.

I might just see if i can help with including attached items in the export, i
might be of help even with my limited skills.
Can this be listed as a feature request? Or is it already?
I open my FBXs with Autodesk FBX Viewer, by the way. Will attach a log.txt
tomorrow, just in case, but I think the issue here is clear ( in that the items
are simply not included in the export by choice of the original programmer ).
