Reported by JoeNazz on 31 Mar 2008 22:22 UTC Was it a great feature, if Jajuk has got two different media-players? One for playing actual songs, one for preview songs on another soundcard.

Kind regards Jonas

Commented by bflorat on 6 Apr 2008 20:52 UTC It's not possible right now and would require deep impact against the jajuk sound engine. Could be implemented some day (low priority) but please note that jajuk doesn't intent to bring professional sound mixing features. See also: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4887835 for a related feature

Commented by Frank on 22 Dec 2009 13:56 UTC I really like the Jajuk player. But I was also searching for media-player with pre-listen functionality.

Perhaps an optional item could be added to the top of the title context menu

Prelisten
Play
Push Next
Push
Play Repeat
Play Album
...

It would be no problem if this would only start a simple external player.

Kind regards Frank

Commented by Thilo on 23 Sep 2012 13:15 UTC Hi. I search a alterntive Jukebox for my party room. At the moment i use yammi ( http://yammi.sourceforge.net/). Yammi is a KDE 3.x App and the development are stopped at 2007. The prelisten mode in yammi are very, very simple but absolutely sufficient.

From the yammi manual:

    Prelisten to...

(only available if a second sound device is configured in the preferences)

start - Immediately starts playing the song via the second sound device, starting from the beginning.

middle - Immediately starts playing the song via the second sound device, starting in the middle.

end - Immediately starts playing the song via the second sound device, starting close to the end.

Please implement an prelisten / preview mode similar yammi. Please, please, please.

Best regards Thilo
