jajuk-install-1.jpg shows the installer window showing "installation complete" but previous to push the "next" button. jajuk-install-2.jpg shows the installer window after pushing once the "next" button. This window stays forever, doing nothing (at least nothing that is apparent); if you try pushing again the "next" button the installer halts; you have to end the installer (close the window) by pushing "exit" button or "X" button. jajuk-install-3.jpg shows the message I got after I ended the installation of patch #1353 (on Windowes 7 64 bits); I think is a windows message, not the installer. "
Commented by bflorat on 29 Aug 2012 20:22 UTC Evaluation : I suspect with may be a launch4j issue [under Seven when using a 64bits JVM : launch4j may switch entirely to 64 bits but izpack installer may use 32 bits libs for its JNI shortcuts work.

Regarding the installation: '''Could you please tell me if this issue also occurred at first
jajuk 1.10 installation or only when overriding it (or randomly) ?'''
Actually I have had this kind of messages since I started to use Jajuk on Windows 7 , that it happens to be 64bits. It did not happen before when I used to have a windows 32 bits machine. Most of the times I have installed Jajuk ( I have done so many times, in part because of my work I switch machines very often, in part because I have many relatives for whom I do kind of technical support, and in part because I have a big music collection, so I am transferring the music on my old vynil discs and CDs to digital files on computer, and by doing this I have been improving what I get from jajuk. It is great!!.) So I have had the opportunity to install and reinstall it several (many) times, and I can say the issue is happening from past year at least, since I switched to an 64bits OS.
But despite the issue it presents always, every time you install Jajuk on a Windows 7 64 bits, the last message (please reference to my previous email's screenshots) warning that possibly Jajuk did not installed fine not always presents. I think that what causes the message to appear depends on the combination of keys (buttons) you press when trying to continue and finish the installation; i.e., did you press the "next" button twice and then the "X" button?, or perhaps you did press the "next" button once and then the "exit" button?. I have not taken care of monitoring this; allow me to make a test and I will take note; I will let you know.
The issue has been pretty consistent as I remember. When I installed it from the first time about 2 and a half years ago, the installation did not have this issue. For me this has been happening since version 1.9 from past year and also with the version 1.10 and with patch #1353 and #1355, always on Windows 7 64bits (not happened on xp and Vista 32 bits; not tried other OS). I have had not reported before since despite the issue on the installation, Jajuk seems to work pretty fine, as it did for 32bits. I use Jajuk extensively, and I have not been concerned of any issue I could relate to the installation issue. But to bue true, the first time I installed Jajuk and I noticed this issue (about a year ago), I noticed two more things:
- installation did not create an entry in "Start" > "Programs", nor an icon in desktop. (same than current described issue for installation of patch #1353; I just realized I did not mention this before; sorry for my omission).
- Jajuk did not work anymore with the remote control I had, the one that used to work pretty fine for Jajuk under windows XP and Vista. The remote control is an standard HID device, so windows provides the standard drivers.
At the time I thought that perhaps the installation could not save some entries in the registry, the ones needed for the remote control to work; but honestly I do not use too much the remote control, so, despite I think it would be a very nice thing to have, I did not worry for that.
I will test installation one more time and will let you know my findings.

I tested installing Jajuk patch #1355 6 times, for different ways of ending the installation. Below are the results. In all cases the issue presented, but not in all cases the message (the screenshot #3 in my previous email) did appear. ALso, in all cases Jajuk is usable after installation.
Jajuk install did message appeared?
next next X yes
next exit yes
next X no
exit no
next exit no
X no

Reported by bflorat on 29 Aug 2012 20:18 UTC Under Windows Seven, the shortcut creation izpack panel is void and the installation is frozen. Most of the time, windows states at the next installation time that the installation was broken.
Jajuk still works but shortcuts are not created.
