How about having:
ARTIST on the left ALBUM VIEW centred, and TRACK LIST on the right.
The artist and tracklist in text as elsewhere in Jajuk, but the album view could show the album covers of the artist selected on the left in a pseudo 3d glossy style that rotate as the user drags a bar underneath. When the users required album is in the centre and is clicked on, the track list column on the right then displays the tracks from that album.
It is a natural-feeling flow or progression to access your music and the visual element to the centre breaks up the "monotony" of text alone.
The interface could be good as a default, clean and simple to navigate interface, which can sit atop the deeper functionality available to be accessed when required.
My thinking at the moment is that there are number of views available down the left hand side of the screen which may well benefit from being condensed with maybe more drop menus.
I personally want to access my music quickly and then let it play and believe this could help this happen a lot easier.
