alphabetic tabs on album catalog

Reported by andreas baltschun on 27 Feb 2014 16:02 UTC Thanks for the great work. Using Jajuk for years now. As my collection is growing (>5000 album) it takes some time to go to the desired artist. Think it would be very helpfull to have alphabetic tabs at the top of the album catalog. Clicking the tab would jump to the first artist starting with this letter. Best regards, Andreas

We note the idea but :

• This may make the GUI clumsy.
• This would not be consistent with the filters because filters not only apply to artists but to any attribute (album name...)
• Don't you find faster to use the instant filter, typing some part of the artist name ?
• For very large collections, 26 tabs would not be enough, users will still have to load sub-"pages" or we should add a letter sub-level "like AA, AB"...
• What about non-alphabetical languages ?
