The Jakarta EE 10 Release Plan recommends that the minimum supported Java SE version is 11, so it makes no sense to stay on SE 8 and keep a complex set of POM profiles for JDK 8...10.
As these are no API changes, this is a fast-track review period of just one day as per our committer rules.
