I almost always have a dozen or more browser windows open, and even with dual-monitors, there isn't enough horizontal space.
Previews are slow (quite noticeable delay when hovering over the browser icon), and inefficient to sift through when there are many options.
I could live without previews in general, and assumed there would be a way to disable them. It's a show stopper if there isn't.
A compromise might be to show a text menu of windows, and then show the preview as each window title is hovered over.
I've ceased attempting to use this applet for restoring browser windows. Instead using an alternative applet that uses a simpler textual menu. As an added inconvenience, when memory starts getting low, if I accidentally mouse-over the FF icon, it locks up my machine for a while swapping to disk before it can draw the preview list. (Under low memory conditions, the preview is very sluggish to display and the highlight for the selected window very sluggish even applications with few windows.)
Ok I'll at least have a way of disabling the previews in my next realese

These issues should all be fixed now. I have added a way of stacking thumbnails and the memory has been about 2 kb for each thumbnails.
With hover peek disabled, when hovering over an icon I get a horizontal list of windows that on my display can show about 6 windows in their entirety. When more than 6 windows are present (common for web browsers) there is no way to select individual windows without running scale or expose. A better solution would be to display a vertical list of window titles once the number of windows is too large for the horizontal display. This is what most desktops do in this regard.
