Configuring surface pen under wacom settings? #469

With jakeday kernel my surface pro works good, but I want to change the key binding and the pressure curve of it without manually using xinput commands.

I installed wacom settings, and make sure I used the patched libwacom, but the settings didn't detect the pen as a wacom pen.

Is it possible to modify some content in xorg.conf.to make wacom settings or xsetwacom detect the pen as a wacom device so I can properly config them? Thanks!

Surface Pro 1? Because on some (e.g. SP3) the pen isn't actually from Wacom.

While you are correct that the pen is not from wacom, it is a common misconception that libwacom only services wacom devices. Digging around in the /usr/share/libwacom you can find generic support as well. I believe OP is looking for a way to configure these devices. I am certain that's what I'm looking for...

the pen was not recognized by the device. Installed libwacom, I can now use hover-tracking and primary click, but need a way to configure the 2 surface buttons.

digging in the aforementioned directory it seems many wacom and general devices have 2 buttons, so I cannot imagine the solution is far off, I've just yet to find it.

Any help would be appreciated, even if its just "Hey maybe check ..."
