Been digging through the various Github repositories, and most of the threads here. Thought I would have solved my issue.
I'm running 5.3.6-1 on Arch from Qzed's repository - I don't have any window manager running, my /etc/systemd/logind.conf is completely vanilla. This is on a Surface Pro 2.
I thought my issue was due to the lid open interrupt being ignored. 5.3.6-1 seemed to include some commits that would solve this. My Surface Pro still doesn't wake when the lid is opened. I wake it by touching the power button, which I suspect sets up a message which results in suspend 30 seconds after waking - until I reboot
