i've experienced the same issue myself, i still get the same unsigned error in grub. i don't know if it is because of the existing signature but i get that message, too.
surface laptop 3 15" (amd), kernel version 5.3.15
found an answer here: https://github.com/jakeday/linux-surface/issues/622 so yes your assumption was correct, the issue is being signed multiple times
hi im having trouble signing the kernel for secure boot ive done all the steps right ive done it a few different times on multiple systems and what goes wrong here is it seems that ubuntus own certificate is taking over everytime i try to sign , it says something like theres already a signature adding signature anyways but everytime so far nomatter what ive tried i have been able to get it to work, is it possible to remove ubuntu default signature or does anyone know how to fix this issue for me?
