This could be built into nushell (or a fork of it) or into nixos as a shell wrapper. the latter seems easier.

I want to be able to:

declare a specific command as pageable
Select an option from a list of options
Search through the list of options
See a preview of the option when you are hovering it
List should refresh (react) while you're looking through it in response to command or remote updates. i.e. wifi networks change every 1 second, new git branches are brought in, etc, while you're in the 'interactive' mode
