this is good inspo. corpse-reviver is so good. https://github.com/camoy/corpse-reviver. bake gradual typing system into the js compiler to add more expressive ytpes. can we augment typescript to add this somehow????

i ended up going with typescript honestly, but these things are so good to experiment with
