restore ability to deploy the site the way it was before

• needs to include things from the wiki
• static build must work with style files and other non-html resources
• both 'serve' and 'build' must work properly

fixed most of these with linked PR #131 now we have to:

• get that deploy script working
• add descriptions to folders?
• figure out whats going on with the images (implement .write for binary fiels, which is just copying probably)
