High CPU usage on game started #646

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start a game (opponent either Human or PyChess).
2. While the game is running, CPU usage is very high.
3. When the game ends, CPU usage is back to normal.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I don't expect such high CPU usage when a game is running.

Does it happen every time?
Yes, every time you start a local game.

What version of the product are you using?
pychess-0.10rc1-1

Did you use an installed version of PyChess or did you run in from a
tarball/svn?
First used the installed version (had the same problem). Then upgraded with the
Debian package downloaded from the website.

Please provide any additional information below.
Running updated Ubuntu 10.10
