Countdown - Timers

Very often we need some countdown timers, e.g. before a meeting starts
or between sessions (10, 15, 20 min breaks)

There are some nice countdown videos on youtube but most of them are either 
with 3min or 5 min countdowns...

A CountDown feature within Quelea would be great.
Setting a background image or video and the countdown timer (from 10s to 30 
min...) with settings for the countdown size and position (similar to the 
lyrics options)

-> Maybe this could be a new cool feature for 2015 ?

This seems like a good idea to me! I have also had need to manually create 
countdown timers for events and it shouldn't be too difficult to implement in 
code. Will add this to the 2015 roadmap.

Hy Ben!
That´s a very cool feature =)

2 Things i discovered:
a) The OK Button is not visible, so i have to resize the Countdown window (but 
only vertical, it´s not working when i resize the window diagonal or 
horizontal)
b) the section selected has no effect to the timer´s position in LiveView

A nice option would be to add a static text above or under the countdown, so it
could be used as an announcement. 
e.g.:

service starts in
     2:59

OR

            2:00
Minutes until meeting starts

Hi Simon, thanks for your comments!

I knew the UI was broken so I had a complete overhaul, hope it works much 
better now!

I also took your advice and added a text area where you can put whatever text 
you like in, and the position of the timer (by using the # symbol)

If you could check it out that would be fantastic!

I spent some time with the count-downs, there are some small bugs i´ll create 
issues for.
Here just some general feedback:

+ It´s fun to test the functionality of the CountDowns with background color, 
video & images!
+ The icons are really cool
+ The Textfield and # keyword opens up endless timer options
+ counter is very stable, i wasn´t able to interrupt it

o Counting UP could be useful in some situations

- Ability to preview the countdowns is needed
  When there are some counters in the schedule (with different backgrounds and Font Settings) it´s not easy to start the right one, because you can´t see which one is selected without starting it with "GoLive"
