R dependencies #181

In the package manager the R dependencies dont seem to get downloaded.
Asks to download but does not install. 

Also asks to install packages that are already installed like 'stats'

that's strange.  Does it place a list of those that are going to be installed??

is it failing in the R code?

I can look into it if you want.

didnt have time to track down the error yet. You can take ownership.

parsing xml needs to strip white spaces before and after the package names. 

fixed.
