I got this parse issue too today, would be great to see this fix in the pushed task

I just saw this today and spent 4 hours digging to get to the bottom of this. Please merge this fix. People are wasting countless hours because they expect this to work and then you go and recheck everything in your CI and end up finding it's a bug in the VSTS task itself. Super annoying.
