Same notebook, wanting to know if its a software problem [i.e modding the
driver/registries will fix it] or a hardware problem [completely changing the
touchpad].

The message is:
Driver support for multiple fingers is already enabled but the driver still
doesn't
report multiple fingers. Either you haven't restarted the system yet or your
TouchPad
doesn't support multiple fingers

I have the exact same problem. I have the Acer 5920 (no "g")
Any help would be appreciated.
RANT --> Man, I love this notebook EXCEPT for this awful touchpad! Why is it
that it
moves so much more fluently when I DONT have a Synaptics Driver installed!?
Once I
install it (either the "official" or mod) the movement just never seems right no
matter what settings I try - it's just slightly "jerky" and not smooth no
matter what
combo of sensitivity options I try

same problem here too with a packard bell bg 45 and a 6.5 version of synaptics
touchpad...
I've just discovered the possibility of multitouch on "non-apple-touchpad" but
disappointed because it is not workin on here with modded driver neither with
the
latest ones :(
