FYI: there's a proposal for new Javascript `Date` objects #178

Hey there! You may or may not be aware, but there is a tc39 proposal to "fix" the javascript Date object by introducing new "Temporal" types to the ECMA standard.

After reading through the proposal's text and issues a bit, I've gotten the impression that there aren't many (any?) people involved with experience actually living with a non-Gregorian calendaring system. Somehow I randomly learned of this library a while back. Clearly you (the maintainers) have experience living and working with another Calendaring system. If you have the time, it seems like any feedback you might give to the proposal could be valuable.

PS: I don't mean to imply that the champions of the proposal are inexperienced when it comes to calendaring systems (I really have no idea), just that real life experience seems like an invaluable asset for future proofing a standard.

Hello,

I was not aware of that proposal. Thanks for introducing it. We definitely have the experience of living in a society with two (or sometimes 3) different calendar systems.

I would love to help here but I am very busy. Let's see if @alitaheri can help here or not. I keep this open for a while. Maybe someone accepts to help.
