No commits since 1 Feb - is this project still active? #559

A fair amount of effort seemed to be going into SecureSocial toward the end of 2014 when I started using it but there has been no activity from any committers recently.

Any word from committers what the way forwards is?

Yes, the project is still alive. In fact, Jorge reached out earlier on Google Groups and confirmed he's working on Play 2.4 compatibility - https://groups.google.com/d/msg/securesocial/JkQ3U85mZ1Q/RRL8SZO5p48J

That's good news - I'd be very happy to see SecureSocial evolve into the future. I've suggested in the past at software craftsmanship meetups a project based on SecureSocial to get apps moving but it's hard to continue to do so with the lack of movement. Play 2.4 support is great, although I'm not sure whether this would address the 42-or-so pull requests that are outstanding.

Happy to see another SocialSecure promoter.

I can't comment on behalf on Jorge, but I can confirm that I spoke to him few days ago, and he briefly discussed how the new version he is working on should address quite a few of these outstanding pull requests.

@timothygordon32 I agree things have been really slow this year. I've had a hard time allocating for the module this year but things are starting to move again. I'll be reviewing all the pending issues/pull requests and provide feedback on them. Of course some things will make it, others wont.

I just merged some changes to support 2.4. The docs have not been updated yet so help with that is welcome as well.
