Hi Mael,
Sorry for the late reply, I am currently overseas and I don't have Internet connection at times.
I believe we should meet to specify what is to be done next and who should be doing what, but I can already give you some feedback on some point you gave :
"Replace sprites and music by custom ones to avoid copyright issues" => almost all of the sprites we used in the game are free for use and do not even need to be credited. You can see on the drive folder in a folder named "Random Asset" the original sprites I took who where then edited in the game (there is a mention in all sprite images that the "credits are not necessary"). The only sprites that I don't know whether we should credit or change are the force field and the background stars. As to the background music it has also been released to the public for free (or at least the blog from which I downloaded it says it has : http://qsf5.com/2009/01/12/a-geometry-wars-retro-evolved-2-remix/). So we won't need to change it either (but we'll probably have to credit Bizarre Creations).
"Find out what we really need for the final publication on
Xbox Store"
=> Agree, but I think we should also look at the possibility of porting the game to Windows phone. I'm no marketing expert of course, but since our game is more of a casual game, I believe it will probably have more success on a smartphone than on a game console. It seems in XNA don't need to re-write the whole game from scratch and we can easily port the game to the Windows Phone (according to this tutorial : http://blogs.microsoft.co.il/blogs/pavely/archive/2011/08/08/porting-an-xna-game-from-windows-to-windows-phone-part-1.aspx ). So odds are to make a Windows Phone version of the game all we'll only need to worry about implementing the controls and the screen resolution, which would probably take only 1-2 weeks of development for one person.
I more or less agree with the rest of it. But we definitely do need to meet to decide who is going to be doing what. As I am out of the country right now we should set up a conference call meeting (on skype seems to be the easiest way). What day are you guys available ? I'm available any day.

Hi guys !
So, what do you want to do now (did we received a feedback from the teacher) ? I would like to propose something like this :
- Add a few 'required' features (such as a scoreboard, a tutorial mode and a demo)
- Replace sprites and music by custom ones to avoid copyright issues
- Not sure if we really have to do this, but maybe we should look at the 'Spectrum' name, which is also the name of a Pokémon. I'm not sure if it's protected or not.
- Find out what we really need for the final publication on
- Steam GreenLight
- Xbox Store
- Before publishing, try to know how to make a successful 'buzz' to get early players
If we succeed at all these steps, we will be able to think about an eventual second version of the game.
I know that exams are coming (brace yourself !), but we really just need to discuss it for the next few weeks, there won't be any code at all in a first time.
