I can reproduce the issue by the following:

Set a timer for 10 seconds Press the start timer button The page will reload properly 1 time Refreshes after this initial one will not occur

This has only started happening in the last day or two I noticed. No changes on my end, I haven't seen this behavior before.

Currently running the most current version of Brave at the moment Version 1.38.109 Chromium: 101.0.4951.41 (Official Build) (64-bit)

I just checked the extension on the latest Brave release with a 10-second reloading job, and it works fine for me.

This still only works once. Subsequent runs do not run. I just removed and re-installed the extension and I am still seeing the same behavior. Not sure what else to say here.

Have you tried on a clean profile too?

cracklejoy commented 2 years ago

I tried on a new profile and it worked fine for about a week and went back to the same behavior. This is the only extension installed too.

So the icon is still orange and the timer works but the tab does not refresh?

Correct

Can you give the dev version a try and report back:

  1. Open chrome://extensions in a browser tab and turn the developer mode on.
  2. Download https://github.com/james-fray/tab-reloader/archive/refs/heads/master.zip
  3. Drop "v3" directory to the chrome://extensions page
