What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. launch android vnc viewer

After the initial loading the speed is fine, however the initial loading
takes a lot of time. I am using this over wifi so speed should be fine.

Using TightVNC with Mirage video driver in Win 7 x64.

could this be related to issue 126? (
http://code.google.com/p/android-vnc-viewer/issues/detail?id=126 )

i see similar behavior with realvnc on xp/sp2 and moto droid 2.1 over 3g and
wifi... sometimes it seems to be hung, then right before i decide to kill it
and try again, it 'pops out' of the loading screen and woks fine.

i should note that my vnc server has a very large resolution (3840x1200), and
unsurprisingly, higher color depths greatly exacerbate the delay. perhaps a
progress indicator (bar showing percent complete) instead of the simple
activity indicator (spinning wheel icon) would make this more tolerable?
