VNC connection failed! #176

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Attempt to connect to TightVNC server

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Connection to TightVNC server/ Error! VNC connection failed!

What version of android-vnc-viewer are you using?
Version 0.4.7
Which VNC server/version are you using?  On which platform?
TightVCN 2.0.2 on Windows 7 64bit
What is the size of the desktop you are trying to access (i.e. 1024x768,
1920x1080...)?1600X900

What device are you using?
Motorola Cliq XT
Are you using a custom ROM?  If so, which?
No
Please provide any additional information below.

Does this only work across a WIFI network? I can only connect if I enable my 
WIFI on my cell phone from home next to my laptop.

I am having the exact same issue. Trying to connect to TightVCN on Windows 7 
64bit using a Samsung Galaxy S with Android 2.1.

Please help!

To OP, if you can connect via WiFi, it's probably because your machine is on a 
private network. You probably don't want it to work over the internet, or any 
hacker could attack your system.

I've got similar issues with TightVNC on Win2k.

I get a failure quite quickly. I've checked with a Ping app to make sure I have 
connectivity to the box running TightVNC.

64bit using a Samsung Galaxy S with Android 2.2froyo. Please help!

Also failing to connect to RealVNC on Windows 7 64bit on Samsung Vibrant Froyo. 
This is an upgrade from Vista 64bit home.
