ME Terminals connected to long range transmission lines periodically loose connection #71

ViciousVinnyD commented 8 years ago

When an ME Terminal is attached to an ME Transformer that is connected to a series of ME Wire Connectors over long distances, the connection will be lost every 10-20 seconds or so.

I'm no developer so I'm not quite sure what could be causing this. The entire area of operation is chunk loaded so clearly this is not an issue with sections becomming unloaded.

Using immersiveintegration-0.6.6 on the Infinity Evolved pack 2.3.5

This does have to due with chunkloading though. With IM 0.6.8 and AE 2 RV3 B6, it seems entire ME systems kill themselves to rescan their network again. Making sure every ME connector and transformer is chunkloaded fixes this (granted I used a straight up chunkloader with a massive range setting to do this so I haven't tested if either connectors or transformers need loader code or not)

Reproduction steps:

  1. Make ME system with full storage capabilities.
  2. Send a wire (wire type doesn't matter but dense increases the time of channel scanning) off about 16 chunks in one direction with multiple connectors.
  3. Try to access Terminals w/o chunkloaders in the area. Bandaid Fix: Chunkload the entire path from transformer to transformer.

I want to add that power delivery isn't an issue as my system is powered via Cryo-Stabilized Fluxduct from a Teir 7 Draconic Energy Core.

do NOT use chickenchunks chunkloader, they behave wonky and cause all sorts of issues! (in my experience since 1.7.10)
